Hope “is a state of mind,

not a state of the world.”*

Our faith depends on the Paschal Mystery,

from Good Friday to Easter Sunday,

from death to resurrection.

Christ, through your resurrection,

you have given us hope of new life

and the promise of the coming

of your Holy Spirit to enable us

to build your kingdom on earth.

Give us this day our daily bread

so that through hopeful commitment

and passionate love we will act

with fortitude to build your kingdom.
