Jesus declared that welcoming

the stranger immigrant

is welcoming him.

It is not too late

to live the works of mercy*

for your Lenten practice.

I will, with your help, O Lord,

enact your welcome,

your hospitality,

your care for the stranger, the homeless,

the hungry, the lost, the lonely,

those searching or seeking

faith or hope or love.

Amen.
