Living in geographic areas with seasonal changes
reminds us of dimensions of our spiritual life.
Might you feel you are in a wintertime
or summer season?
If winter, dare to go deep into the silence.
Even if feeling you are in a milieu of unknowing,
simply rest in the heart of God.
If summer, share that faith-filled energy
in initiating ministry for another or others.
If spring, speak of joy in new life
and resurrection hope.
If fall, in calm and simplicity,
share time, faith, work, ministry with others.
God of all dimensions of my life,
guide me in all things today.
May I lift my heart and mind to you
in various moments throughout the day.
As the day winds down,
may I recall your tangible closeness.
