Let us live today as Friends of God.
Think of the many aspects of befriending someone especially sharing heart to heart*
as well as persevering in giving and receiving support in challenging times;
Rejoicing in another’s joys;
Sorrowing in deep empathy with another’s suffering;
Exchanging ideas, interests, practices, humorous stories, faith sureties and faith searchings
and the intertwining in problem-solving endeavors.
God of my heart and my life,
I humbly call you Friend and so delight in sharing heart to heart with you.
Amen.
