Do not hesitate to initiate or join
a working group considering designing
a new and inclusive form of a “Civic Covenant.”*
Be confident that we can articulate
the grounding of a conception of our nation
embracing all our inhabitants
as the image of God’s creative love.
Imagine the heart of God
as expansive as the cosmos.
Let us humbly put into practice that kind of love.
Holy Spirit of Knowledge, Understanding, and Counsel,
guide our hearts and minds in any and all endeavors
that grow from your creative and all-embracing love.
