Let us be grateful today
for our freedoms:
of speech, of religion,
of the press, of assembly
and corresponding rights.
Let us intentionally use them for the good
perhaps by going to church or
by gathering to celebrate our freedoms
or by praying with others
or by writing a Letter to an Editor
Let us exercise them
respecting others’ exercise of them.
Thank you, God,
for our country, our land, our people.
Thank you, God,
that we can worship with others.
Thank you, God,
for all the possibilities of our freedoms.
Guide us in choices that will preserve the good
for ourselves and for all others.
Amen.
