to the sufferings of his disciples

So be encouraged.
Jesus, Suffering Servant,
you know what it feels like to be abandoned,
to be insulted, and to suffer physical agonies.
Enfold me in your tender compassion.
Stay with me in my miseries.
Heal me in body, mind, and spirit.
Amen.
