Whether a person believes in God or not,
God believes in that person.
Created beings have a built-in orientation
toward their creator.*
God is our Ultimate Concern.**
So let me not be too busy
to give some consideration
to my deepest concerns and hopes.
God is through and through all I encounter.
God, you are in and through me.
Save me from my efforts
to distract myself from you.
Let me open my daily life to your presence.
Let my being be open to your communications to
me and your actions for me.
Let me hear the humble speak of you.
Help me see you revealing yourself in the lowly.
Open my heart to your nearness.
Amen.
