OK, I admit it, besides being consoling,
Prayer can be “dangerous,” that is,
it might help us face certain realities
or give rise to a call.
Prayer surely relates to humility,
a humble owning of who we are:
the least
yet of infinite value.
Most Loving God, you know me inside and out.
You love me unconditionally.
Give me spiritual courage
to open the ears of my heart
to whatever you choose to reveal to me.
