People who pause now and then
wondering about things,
People thinking of larger and larger worlds,
People inclined to contemplate
mystery of any kind,
People open to laughing with others
as well as crying with others,
All are already, by their probing,
moving into God
whether they yet testify to the Divine or not.
Mysterious God, Unfathomable God,
show yourself to me in some palpable ways.
Reach toward me reaching toward you.
Show yourself to me in some simple, concrete ways.
Help me see you, Extraordinary God,
in the ordinary.
Help me see your profundity
in the most mundane actions.
Let me glimpse you wherever you choose.
Amen.
