Feast of the Humility of Mary
Mary guided us in an understanding
of the virtue of humility in all her words
and actions in scripture.*
From the Magnificat song in Luke 1
we recognize gratitude to God
for everything given to us and done for us.
We recognize our call to be a person
of praise and an advocate for the poor.
We recognize our call to be persons
who confidently know who we are before God.
Mary,
help me live out
the spirit of your Magnificat
in deep joy.
Amen.
